Since ancient times women have gathered around the new moon. Since ancient times women have found strength and sisterhood by coming together in a sacred space. Since ancient times, this has been known as the Red Tent.
Enjoy this opportunity to rest and be with sisters. It’s a special time to honor womanhood, to celebrate sisterhood. The Red Tent is a sanctuary where we get to rebirth ourselves every new moon, where we get to recieve replenishment, support, joy and stillness.
This month the theme is Balance. Balance between feminine and masculine. Balance between rest and activity. Balance between inner and outer, light and dark. We gently share our experience and get to move ourselves back into balance. We do this through movement, meditation, song, sharing, contemplation and stillness.
